Linapuni Elementary School, established in 1966, is located within one of the public
housing projects in Kalihi, near downtown Honolulu. As an Early Learning School, we
service children from Pre-K to Grade 1. Students live in Kuhio Homes or Kuhio Park
Terrace. We are one of nine elementary schools in the Farrington Complex and the only
public school in the state serving only Pre-Kindergarten through grade one.
Linapuni Elementary School has completed its first Western Association of Schools and
Colleges (WASC) accreditation in April 2016. We were granted a six-year accreditation
status through June 30, 2022 and have completed the mid-cycle one day visitation in the Spring of 2019. Our next self-study will be conducted in School year 2021-2022.
